"My instinct appeared to be correct. In front of me there was the beach that we have approached coming to the island on the first day. My hopes of survival were now revived and my feet were given new strength as I hurried down the coast to find what seemed to be my only hope, a boat to take me out of here. It was one of those moments that you are sure that God is listening to your prayers and makes them come true, when I saw that boat standing there ready to sail. I wouldn’t end up as a meal for the savages after all."
